With a deft touch, Joe Pendal takes readers from the night his mother suddenly went blind to the day his father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and Dementia events that made their living arrangement untenable, forcing Joe to seek home health care, explore assisted living options, prepare to relocate his parents to Minnesota, slog through Medicare and Medicaid regulations, and do everything he could to avoid putting his parents in a nursing home.Facing this time of life for adult children and parents is no small task. Doing it alone makes it feel insurmountable. The beauty of Golden Years: The Sandwich Generation’s Guide to Living Arrangements for Aging Parents is that not only will it give you the jump start you need to understand the rugged landscape of senior living arrangements, it will to know you are not alone.About the AuthorJoseph M.
